Diploma in Sound Designing and Audio Post Production

Sound design is the process of specifying, acquiring, manipulating or generating audio elements employed in a variety of disciplines including filmmaking, television, theatre, sound recording and reproduction, live performance, sound art, post-production, and video game software development. Sound design most commonly involves the manipulation of previously composed or recorded audio, such as sound effects and dialogue. Large scale motion picture and television projects involve a complex workflow; the project usually involves ADR of multiple characters, dialogue editing, and comprehensive sound design. In addition to this the projects are largely in some form of multichannel audio format. Student would be expected to assist in such projects enabling the student to understand complex workflows, along with manipulation of the source signals' level, dynamics, and panoramic position, and the addition of effects such as reverb and delay; using DAWs such as Pro Tools and Control Surfaces such as ICON.
